Once upon a time, there was a Cajun grandma with a secret family recipe. That Cajun Grandma Richard let her young grandson, Lonnie, get his hands dirty in her grocery store in Church Point, Louisiana, which sold all manner of Cajun specialties. Lonnie learned his lesson well, ultimately founding Richard’s Cajun Foods in 1981. Now, the company has over 100 real Cajuns employed in their operations. Their product line includes smoked sausage, boudin, pork and a line of Cajun prepared entrees that are certified Cajun.
