G-Mc Produce, located in Henderson, Texas, was founded in 1999 by Marc Green, whose family has grown watermelons since the 1940s. Over the years, the business has expanded to include a fleet of six trucks and two large warehouse operations. With knowledge passed down from his grandfather, Green grows and sells top of the line watermelons, enjoyed by customers all over the South each summer. In 2014, GMC Produce shipped over 6 million pounds of watermelons to Brookshire’s and Super 1 Foods stores throughout the Ark-La-Tex. This year, Marc was honored with the 2015 Brookshire Grocery Company Grower of the Year Award.
