Wild West Festival – Fourteen partners helped set up the day before and during the day at the festival. They set banners, assisted with vendors, cross walk guards, manned a drink booth for the Chamber as well as our own booth with roasted Hatch Chiles from New Mexico. They volunteered for 70 hours.

Tyler Run for Autism – One partner volunteered to hand out water, direct runners and cheer for them. The goal and purpose of this event was to raise money, from the runners, for the TLC School for Autism.

Clay Shoot – Five partners volunteered for forty hours. They assisted with the set up, breakfast, sign ups, the shoot, refreshments, lunch and break down. All proceeds benefitted the Chamber of Commerce.

Chamber of Commerce Annual Banquet – Twenty partners helped set up, participated and closed down the Annual Chamber of Commerce Banquet. They helped check out the Silent Auction items and Store Director Mark Baumann was named Chamber Member of the Year.

Fresh 15K – One partner ran in the 5Krace held in Tyler, Texas. All proceeds benefitted Fresh charities.

Easter Egg Hunt – Partners participated in hiding over 4,000 eggs for the citywide Easter egg hunt. Brookshire’s donated 2,000 of the eggs. The committee to refurbish the Tabernacle put on the hunt. Our partners volunteered for 20 hours.

September 19 – 20, 2014
Wild West Festival Springtown – Eleven partners volunteered to set up the event placing banners and setting up booths. They manned the drink station the entire event, and helped in all aspects of the event from judging BBQ to being a cross walk guard. Also, they assisted with tear down for 49 hours.

Bike Rally Race – Six partners volunteered to assist setting up and manning a water station all day. They volunteered for 30 hours.

Goshen Creek PTA Porcupine Promenade 5K – Seven partners helped set up, take down and man a Brookshire tent to give away bananas and whales. All proceeds benefitted Goshen Creek PTA. Also, four partners ran in the event with a total of 35 volunteer hours.

Clay Shoot – Springtown Chamber of Commerce hosted an annual clay shooting and five partners volunteered for 35 hours. They set up on the course and passed out water and then helped prepare and serve lunch.

Chamber of Commerce Banquet – Thirteen partners helped set up for the silent auction, attended the banquet and helped ring up the silent auction items for 39 hours. Brookshire’s received the Outstanding Business of the Year Award and Store Director Mark Baumann received Man of the Year Award.

Chamber of Commerce Valentine Event – Four partners helped the Chamber set up and then facilitate a Valentine fun event that was geared to educating people about Valentine’s Day activities.

City Wide Clean Up – Six partners helped clean up medians and ditches through out the town for 24 hours.

Project Graduation – Five partners helped set up and serve food to raise money for Project Graduation for 20 hours.

SISD Dinner in a Bag – Partners volunteered to put together “Dinner in a Bag” for the first day of school. They ordered the product, assembled and helped deliver as well as donations towards the event. They volunteered for 21 hours and delivered 500 bags to every employee of SISD.

Annual Bike Rally – Four Brookshire partners volunteered to assist the Springtown Chamber of Commerce host the Bike Rally. They helped pass out t-shirts, register bike riders and help set up for lunch. They volunteered for 12 hours.

Goshen Creek Elementary 5K Porcupine Promenade – Brookshire’s was a sponsor of the race and had three partners that participated in the race. Also, five partners volunteered to help set up and break down after the race.

Springtown Chamber of Commerce Clay Shoot – This was the second annual Chamber Clay shoot. Brookshire’s was the event sponsor and partners volunteered to cook breakfast for 36 hours.

Band Send-Off – Springtown band went to state competition and the town gathered along the hwy. to wish them well. The store supplied water and partners were stationed along the highway and at the high school with signs and balloons.

Dinner in a Bag – Partners volunteered for twenty hours to order, organize and help in the delivery of 480 “Dinner in Bags” for the local PTA. They put everything together for a spaghetti dinner and helped with a donation as well as delivery.

Wild West Festival – This is the largest fundraiser for the Chamber held each year. Partners helped the Chamber set up, ran the drink concession and helped break down the festival. They volunteered over 100 hours.

Chamber of Commerce After Hours – Partners helped set up and serve at the Chamber of Commerce after Hours function. They donated two party trays and helped at the event.

Relay for Life – Partners coupled with Azle Brookshire’s for their Relay for Life team. Brookshire’s sponsored the event with their tent and a team. Together the two stores donated over $3,900.

Springtown Middle School Library – Store Director Mark Baumann participated in the ceremony and handed out cookies. Also, he participated in an interview that was then played at the re-grand opening of the library.

Springtown Career Day – Partners were stationed at two different stations for Career Day. They spoke of the job opportunities within the grocery industry and the pharmacy.

Wild West Festival – Festival is the largest fundraiser for the Chamber of Commerce. Along with the sponsorship and donations partners helped set up, manned drink stations and sold drinks for the local chamber and then helped clean up.

Relay for Life Springtown – Brookshire’s Relay for Life team was headed up by the pharmacy staff and they volunteered over 60 hours. The event ran from 6 pm – 6 am and they donated $1,500 to the American Cancer Society.
