Rocktoberfest – This is the first annual festival to replace the fall festival that city had previously had. 10 partners participated in the planning and organization of the event as well as working drink stations, supervising the kid’s zone, picking up trash and working the 5K. Our partners volunteered for 108 hours.

National Night Out – Seven partners served apples and root beer floats to the community for 21 hours. National Night Out was sponsored by the local police department to develop community pride and support.

Fill A Fiat Food Drive – Six partners made grab bags and partnered with the Lion’s Club to solicit donations of food for the local food pantry for 18 hours.

Car Wash – Two partners assisted the Robinson Basketball Team with a car wash to raise funds for their tournaments. They volunteered for eight hours.

Carter Blood Drive – Twenty-one customers and partners donated blood during the annual Blood Drive in the parking lot.

Easter Egg Hunt – Partners provided 7,000 eggs for the hunt and gave out free Dr. Pepper floats. The fire department showed up with the Easter Bunny and the kids were able to climb in the fire truck and police car. There were over 400 kids that attended the hunt.

Robinson School Basketball Tournament – Two partners spent two days helping run the scoreboard and concession stand for over thirty hours during the tournament.

West Relief Efforts – 10 partners volunteered to help in West, Texas after their disaster for several days. They helped sort clothes, passed out water and food to the town.

Christmas Food Drive – Store Director Gary Grones assisted a local organization sortig and boxing up Food Drive items for six hours.

Christmas Parade – Sixteen partners helped decorate and ride on a float during the annual Christmas parade. They volunteered for a total of 45 hours.

Robinson Fall Festival – Brookshire participated and helped sponsor the annual Fall Festival. Partners sold ice cream floats to benefit the Robinson Park Fund. Also, they sold pie pumpkins let the children decorate them and they set up a fall scene so participants could take pictures. Ten partners set up, worked and helped clean up from the event for 41 hours.

Care Net Celebrate Life Banquet – Care Net is an organization that offers hope to women facing unplanned pregnancies by providing practical help and emotional support. Event was their annual fundraiser for the year. Partners volunteered to help.

McLennan County Jr. Livestock Show – Store Director Gary Grones attended the auction and supported area youth. He bid and purchased animals from area 4-H and FFA organizations.

Robinson Christmas Parade – Partners decorated a float for the annual Christmas parade. Store Director Gary Grones was the Grand Marshall of the parade. The parade had 30 floats.

August 26 – 27, 2011
77 Sunset Mall BBQ Cook Off – Barbecue cook off benefited Robinson FFA and Robinson Citizens Police Academy. All the sponsor fees, entry fees and event fees went to those groups. Partners from the store cooked the meat for the cook off and they volunteered for 32 hours.

Freeman House Lock In – Event benefited the Freeman Center that assist people with addictions. Partners volunteered to help with drinks and food for this event.

Robinson Festival – Partners sold watermelon and cantaloupe to participants. All proceeds were donated to the Robinson Park fund.

Robinson Spring Carnival – Event was put on by Robinson Primary and Elementary schools to help raise money for the schools. They donated over 8 hours of their time.

Senior Citizen Thanksgiving Lunch – Annual event that is held at Robinson High School. Partners assisted with food and drinks.  This is the 10th year that Brookshire’s has provided the turkey and ham for 150 local senior citizens.
