Salvation Army Bell – Three partners volunteered to ring the Salvation Army bell during the month of December in front of the store. They volunteered for eight hours.

Relay for Life – Partners volunteered for almost two hundred hours to walk at the annual Relay for Life. All proceeds from the walk benefitted the American Cancer Society.

Salvation Army Bell – Three partners volunteered to ring the Salvation Army Bell in front of the store.

Salvation Army Bell Ringing – The Salvation Army set up a kettle in front of the store and partners helped ring the bell in groups and sang Christmas songs.  Partners volunteered for twenty hours.

Paint the Town Pink – Local businesses show support by decorating storefronts pink in honor of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Partners volunteered for two hours.

Adopt School Turkey Trots – Vivian Fowler Elementary School hosted the sixth Annual Brookshire’s Turkey Trot. Students, parents and staff participated in the event and thirteen families went home with certificates for Thanksgiving turkeys.

Jr. Livestock Show – Three partners participated in the annual Jr. Livestock Show in support of area youth.

Pilot Club Celebrity Waiter – The Annual Pilot Club Celebrity Waiter Dinner and Auction was held Saturday at the Civic Center. The theme for the night was “Hollywood Time Machine”, and guests walked through a time travel portal as they entered the main ballroom for the evening. Store Director Tony Mize volunteered for 6 hours.

Food Drive – 6 partners helped with the food distribution. They made over 800 boxes of food to be delivered to the needy in part to all of the efforts of the Spirit of Texas Food Drive.

Turkey Trot – Partners participated in the 37th Annual Turkey Trot 6K Trail Run. They volunteered for 8 hours.

American Cancer Society Fundraiser – Partners sold hamburgers and hot dogs in front of the store and all proceeds went to the American Cancer Society.

Celebrity Jail Bail – Partners from the store were put into celebrity jail and participants paid to get them out of jail and all proceeds went to the American Cancer Society.

Yard Sale Fundraiser – Volunteers from the store sold donated goods and all proceeds were donated to the store’s Relay for Life goal.

Car Wash – The event was held in the store parking lot and volunteers from the store washed cars with donations going towards their goal for Relay for Life project.

Salvation Army Bell Ringing Red Kettle Drive – Many partners donated their time to assist the Salvation Army with donations during December.

Spirit of Christmas Food Drive – Partners helped distribute approximately over 750 food boxes to area families. Also, they helped load boxes into volunteer’s cars.

Career Fair – 8th grade students from region 8 school district went around to booths set up trade show style and asked specific questions about the deli and bakery jobs.

Adopt a Highway Program – Partners from our Mt. Pleasant Brookshire’s have adopted a 2.2 mile stretch of Hwy 67 to keep clean. 5 partners volunteered a total of 20 hours.

Kid’s Day. Partners donated their time to Kid’s Day in the parking lot. It included bounce houses, games, popcorn, homemade ice cream demonstration and a raffle. All proceeds benefited the local community children and a fundraiser for a local child with cancer.
