Stock Show – Five partners volunteered at the local stock show by serving food and cleaning up. The goal for this event was to get the partners in the community doing volunteer work for 30 hours.

Haunted House – Six partners had a room set up in the haunted house and volunteered for one hundred and thirty-four hours. Also, partners helped raised over $3,500 for the Cisco Senior Nutrition Program.

Folk Life Festival – Five partners volunteered to assist in the Folk Life festival for twenty-nine hours. All proceeds from the annual event fund the youth of Cisco with many youth organizations.

Rattlesnake Round-Up – A partner volunteered to work in the concession stand for eight hours.

Meals on Wheels – Three partners volunteer each month to assist delivering Meals on Wheels to the area elderly and shut-ins for ten hours.

Coaching Little League – Partners volunteer to assist and sponsor the local Little League Baseball Team for 42 hours during the season.

Haunted House – Fifteen Brookshire’s partners had 2 spook rooms that they set up and manned during the 3 days that the haunted house was open. They raised about $5,000.00 with all proceeds benefiting Meals on Wheels. Partners volunteered for 258 hours.

Family Night at the Pool – Brookshire’s donated water and other snacks to the Family Night at the City Pool. Partners handed out the refreshments to the families.

Food Pantry Distribution Day – Partners sort food and carry boxes of food to the car for citizens that are in need.

Relay for Life – Partners put together a team for Relay for Life. They held a bake sale, silent auction and did face painting for the kids. The team raised over $500.00 at the event. Also, the day before the event they had a kiss a pig and a pie in the face ceremony at the store to raise money.

Cisco Lobo Appreciation Day – Brookshire’s sponsored an appreciation day for the Cisco Lobo football team to going to the state meet. The team went to state and come within one point of winning the game.

Lobo Appreciation Day – The Cisco community held the appreciation day for the Lobos. Partners greeted patrons as they entered the gym. Also, the raffled off a Brookshire gift card with all proceeds going to the athletic booster.

Chamber of Commerce – Store Director Kendall Breashears is a member of the local Chamber of Commerce and attends meeting each month. They discussed upcoming events for the community.

Haunted Hospital – Benefited the senior Meals on Wheels program in Cisco. Brookshire partners set up a room and worked during the hours of the operation. Overall, $7,500.00 was raised for Meals on Wheels.

Cisco High School Special Education Department – Partners treated group to a shopping trip that included a tour of the store. Each group checked scanned their groceries and were treated to a cookie from the bakery.

Employees have volunteered their time to participate in the Senior Nutrition Program by helping to provide delivery.
