Delivered Food – Store Director Larry Carpenter and his wife delivered food purchased from Brookshire’s throughout the community for low-income families. This ministry is preformed by First United Methodist Church in Columbia.

Lion’s Club Rodeo – Four partners prepared hot dogs, served as cashiers and delivered products and supplies. They volunteered for 31 hours benefiting the Lion’s Club.

Blend of the River – Two partners served meals to ticket holders for four hours benefiting the Columbia Art Museum.

Giving Spirit Food Pantry – The food pantry buys all their food from Brookshire’s and then they distribute the food in the community to the needy. Partners volunteer to help stack and sort the items for the Food Pantry to disperse.

Fresh 15 – Seven partners drove to Tyler, Texas to volunteer to help with the Fresh 15 Race held at Fresh in Tyler.

Lion’s Club Pancake Supper – Two partners delivered and set up products for the Lion’s Club Pancake Supper. They volunteered for four hours.

BBQ and Blues Festival – Partners participated in the pork cooking and serving competition and won two first place prizes. Five partners participated for 41 hours.

Goblins in the Park – Several partners volunteered at the Brookshire’s booth at Goblins in the Park. This is a community wide event where kids come out and trick or treat. Partners passed out candy for 140 hours.

Art & Folk Festival – Two partners volunteered to help out in the Art Festival and with the community fish fry to fund the district attorney elections.

Back to School Bash – Eight partners volunteered for 12 hours helping with sorting and passing out school supplies.

Columbia Lion’s Club Rodeo – Partners volunteered for 36 hours working in the concession stand during the rodeo. They helped deliver the product, set up and serve.

Caldwell Parish Relay for Life – Partners formed a team and they set up a tent and sold glow stick and hot dogs to raise money for their Relay for Life goal.

Mother’s Day Cakes – Partners took 175 undecorated caked to Columbia Elementary and each grade would come in and partners would help them decorate cakes for Mother’s Day. They volunteered for twenty hours.

Blend of the River Men’s Cooking Event – Two partners volunteered for sixteen hours cooking and serving 15 slabs of ribs, boudin and sausage.

Main 2 Main BBQ & Blues – Event was held on the Ouachita and partners volunteered for twenty-three hours to help set up and take down.

Goblins in the Park – Event was held at the Thurman Walking Park in Grayson and five partners volunteered to set up a booth and pass out candy to local children for forty-one hours.

Columbia Rodeo – Two Brookshire stores in the area along with Columbia partners volunteered to assist with the annual rodeo. They partnered with the Lion’s Club and made and served over $19,000.00 worth of concession items with all proceeds benefitting the Columbia Lion’s Club.

Kid’s Day – Event was held in the store’s parking lot with eleven partners volunteering.  Over sixty three hours was spent organizing and having the event. They had games, face painter and gave out drinks and ice cream bars.

Blend of the River – Five volunteers from the store helped set up tables, tents and helped decorate for the event. They volunteered for thirty-five hours.
