TYLER, Texas, July 18, 2018 – Brookshire Grocery Co. leaders and city officials gathered today for ribbon-cutting ceremonies to commemorate the grand openings of Super 1 Foods stores in Breaux Bridge, Crowley, Franklin, New Roads, Rayne, Abbeville and Eunice. BGC acquired the former Winn-Dixie locations in April and reopened them as Super 1 Foods stores. Curbside pickup service was introduced today at 11 Super 1 Foods stores in this region.

While BGC has operated stores in Abbeville and Eunice for 17 years, Breaux Bridge, Crowley, Franklin, New Roads and Rayne represent new communities for the Company. BGC now operates 47 Super 1 Foods stores in Louisiana, Texas and Arkansas.

“We are very excited to celebrate the grand openings of these Super 1 Foods stores,” said Brad Brookshire, Chairman and CEO for Brookshire Grocery Co. “We are focused on making a positive impact in the lives of our customers, employee-partners and communities. With our great line of offerings and outstanding service, we are confident people in these communities are going to truly love shopping at Super 1.”

“Super 1 Foods Curbside” offers online ordering with curbside pickup at select stores.* Customers can order, pay and schedule pick-up times at the stores by visiting super1foods.com or using the “Super 1 Foods” mobile app, available in the App Store or Google Play. Thousands of products are available, including fresh meats, local produce and the stores’ own brands of products at the same prices as in the stores.

The stores’ personal shoppers fill the orders, selecting the freshest products available and asking for recommendations when needed from the experts in the market, deli, bakery and produce departments. Personal shoppers then deliver orders to customers at the scheduled pick-up time in the designated curbside parking area.

“We are always looking for ways to expand our service to customers,” Brookshire said. “We are very excited to be adding the convenience of online ordering with curbside pickup at 11 locations.”

Super 1 Foods also offers same-day grocery delivery through Instacart at select stores. Customers can use the Instacart service to order and pay for an assortment of meat, produce, grocery, bakery, deli, household, health/beauty, baby, and pet items** from participating stores. An Instacart personal shopper will visit the store to fill the order and then deliver the groceries to the customer’s home during their scheduled delivery timeframe.

To place an order, customers can visit super1foods.com/home-delivery or download the “Instacart” mobile app, available in the App Store or Google Play. Instacart requires a $10 minimum on all orders, along with a delivery fee of $5.99 for purchases of $35 or more or $9.99 for orders under $35. A monthly or annual “Express Membership” can be purchased from Instacart and includes free delivery for all orders over $35. Customers can check to see if their address is within the delivery area at instacart.com/locations.

One of the features customers love most when they walk through the doors of Super 1 Foods stores is the long Wall of Values with incredible super savings and hot deals on popular national and store brand items. Customers will also see “Super Shockers,” with shockingly low-priced items. “Treasure Buys,” “Dollar Stretchers,” and large bonus packs are other great deals that help feed families for less at Super 1 Foods.

Super 1 Foods offers so many products for less because the stores buy by the truckload directly from distributors and pass the savings on to customers. The stores’ own brands of products offer great quality at super low prices. Guests can expect to save up to 40 percent on ValuTime products every day in comparison to national brand prices.

In the market department, store guests will find meat that is cut and ground fresh daily, along with monster combo packs, super packs, Certified Angus Beef® and fresh seafood for less. The produce department offers locally grown produce, the full-service deli has great grab-and-go meals, and the bakery offers cakes that can be custom decorated, along with great prices on pastries, cookies and fresh-baked breads.

Super 1 Foods’ discount pharmacy offers select antibiotics for free, generics for less, quality at low prices with TopCare brand products, and fast, friendly service every day.

“Super 1 Foods Curbside” service hours are from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily, with same-day service available. There is a service fee of $4.95 for orders under $50 and no fee for orders of $50 or more. Customers can save $10 on their first online order of $50 or more by using the promotional code “SAVE.” For more information and store hours, please visit super1foods.com.
