Healthy Living: Sunburn Tips

On a beautiful summer day it’s hard to stay indoors when the sun is shinning bright outside. After coming inside from swimming or lounging outdoors your skin may start to turn pink. Sunburns are never fun. Red skin sunburns can slow you down from your normal activities.

When you first notice that your skin is starting to turn pink, rub some aloe vera on the burned area. Aloe vera will soothe your burn by helping lower inflammation and keeping your skin moist.

While your sunburn is healing, wear loose fitting clothing so clothing does not irritated your skin. If your sunburn is severe always contact your physician to prevent any infection.
