Valentine’s Day Cake Decorating – Five partners assisted eighty Elementary kids decorating heart shaped cakes for Valentine’s at Pittsburg Elementary for five hours.

Valentine’s Day Cake Decorating – Two partners volunteered to assist 14 members of the Life Skills Class in decorating heart shaped cakes for Valentine’s Day. The partners volunteered for three hours.

27th Annual Brookshire’s Challenge Cross Country Meet – Two Brookshire’s stores donated products to this event. There were 10 schools that participated, 475 runners and over 300 spectators. Partners volunteered many hours for this event.

ExtraPoint Promotion – During halftime of the Pittsburg Football Game Store Director Lane Garland presented the school with a check for $1,000.

Independence Day Blast – Six partner volunteered to hand out American flags and they ran the booth for kids. They volunteered for eighteen hours.

5th Quarter Party – Two partners volunteered for five hours assisting with the 5th Quarter Party held after each home game.

Meet the Pirates – Six partners volunteered at a community event where the football team, cheerleaders and band were introduced. Partners gave away water and cupcakes to participates.

World Changers – Two partners volunteered to help in painting, roofing, etc. of nineteen homes in the community. There were over two hundred volunteers that came into town to help.

Cake Decorating – Two partners volunteered for four hours at the local school helping with special needs children decorating cakes.

Logjammer Half Marathon – Three partners ran in the Logjammer Half Marathon that was held in Shreveport.

1st Annual Zombie Run and Blood Drive – 5 partners passed out fruit during the Zombie Run and Blood Drive for five hours.

Store Tour – Local Girl Scouts were given a behind the scenes tour of the store. They decorated cup cakes, blew up balloons, etc. Three partners volunteered for three hours for the tour.

Chamber of Commerce Banquet and Awards Ceremony – Four partners helped decorated tables and created a cake for the live auction at the Chamber of Commerce Banquet. Store Director Lane Garland was the emcee for the evening.

Trick or Treat – Partners assisted passing out candy to children at the annual downtown event.

Fall Fest – Brookshire’s sponsored “Movies in the Park”. Partners volunteered for thirty-three hours.

School Tour – The bakery dept. helped train special needs children from high school on how to decorate cakes.

Chamber of Commerce – Partners cooked and served food at the banquet. They volunteered over four hours for this event at First Baptist Church.

Christmas Food Drive – Volunteers from the store helped sort and box food for the needy in the local area.

Trick or Treat on the Square – The store had a booth set up on the square and gave out candy to children. They volunteered 16 hours for this event.

Chickfest – Brookshire’s sponsored a hospitality tent for the bands that performed for event. Also, they partnered with Farmer’s Insurance and provided families with nearly 100 ID’s of children.
