ExtraPoint Presentation – During the halftime of the local football game, Store Director Charlie Peek presented a $1,000 check to the Ennis Athletic Department. Partners passed out footballs and megaphones.

Brookshire Watermelon Wednesday – Two partners volunteered for two hours helping the football booster club cut and serve watermelon to football players.

Meet the Lion’s – Nine partners cooked and served 600 hot dogs/chips and water to football players, families and coaches at the stadium for 45 hours.

Give a Kid a Chance – This is a community outreach event based on principles in Matthew 25. Eight partners assisted with their annual fundraiser and cooked and served over 3,000 pancakes for 48 hours.

Decorate Cakes – Several partners worked for over three days decorating cakes for Mother’s Day at local schools. The cakes were decorated by the school children to give to their Mother. They volunteered for thirty-six hours.

Trunk or Treat – Partners planned a trunk or treat in the parking lot of the store during Halloween night and volunteered for one hundred and fifty five hours dressing up and passing out candy during the event.

Ennis Fall Festival – At the annual Ennis Fall Festival five partners played games with children and passed out candy for sixty-five hours.

Kids Tour of the Store – Ten children from Candy Cane Day Care were given a tour of the store. Partners volunteered for three hours talking to the group about food groups and how the food is delivered to the store. At the end of the tour each child was given a gift bag.

Ennis Lions Football Check Giveaway – During the halftime of the football game Ennis ISD was presented with a $1,000.00 check from Brookshire Grocery Company.
