ACS Tractor Pull – Four partners volunteered to man the concession stand in which 100% of the proceeds went to the American Cancer Society. They volunteered for forty-seven hours.

Fresh 15K – Four partners participated in the Fresh 15K that was held in Tyler, Texas.

Christmas Parade – Ten partners volunteered in the Comanche Parade contest. They built a float with Frozen as the theme and passed out candy.

Halloween on the Square – Six partners gathered with other local businesses to hand out candy to local children. The benefit was advertising their community support in Comanche.

Relay for Life – Twelve partners worked various roles including handing out water, working the concession stand and other projects for seventy-one hours. All proceeds benefitted the American Cancer Society.

Salvation Army Bell Ringing – Eight partners volunteered for eight hours ringing the Salvation Army Bell in front of the store. Donations from the kettle provide Christmas dinners, clothing and toys for families in need.

Community Wide Dinner – Five partners helped cook, serve and clean up for the annual Thanksgiving dinner. They volunteered for fifteen hours.

Deer Hunter’s Chili Supper – Brookshire’s helped sponsor the 24th Annual Deer Hunter’s Chili Supper. Partners volunteered for twenty hours. All proceeds go toward chamber activities promoting the Comanche area.

Comanche Fall Festival – Partners set up a booth and passed out candy to local children for twelve hours.

Comanche County Healthcare Foundation Fundraiser – Organization was created to receive and administer funds that support the Comanche County Medical Center and community health service. Partners volunteered at their annual fundraiser for twelve hours.

June 10 – 15th, 2012
Community Rehab Project – Close to four hundred volunteers donated their time and talent to remodel twenty-two houses. Volunteers come from all over the state. Brookshire’s donated gift cards and volunteered over one hundred twenty hours to this community service project.

Salvation Army Bell Ringing – Partners assisted the Salvation Army by ringing the bell outside the store. Donations from the kettle provide Christmas dinners, clothing, and toys for families in need. Many families receive aid over a period of months after the Christmas season as well, people struggling with difficult family, emotional, or employment problems.

Masonic Lodge Turkey Dinner –Brookshire’s was one of the leading sponsors of the annual Thanksgiving Dinner at the Hope Masonic Lodge. Partners volunteered over 20 hours.

Chili Supper for Deer Hunter’s – Comanche Chamber hosts a Free Deer Hunter’s Chili Supper the Friday night before Deer Season opens, especially for out-of-town hunters. Partners assisted with welcoming, cooking and serving chili. They volunteered for 20 hours.

1st Annual Stuff The Bus Back To School Bash – Over $3,000.00 in school supplies and cash donations were donated to the Comanche ISD and Gustine ISD. There were over 300 participants that took advantage of the free food and drinks donated by the store. Partners volunteered over 52 hours for this event.

Kick Off for Comanche ISD – Partners volunteered to cook and serve breakfast to over 300 teachers and faculty of Comanche ISD for a Back To School event showing appreciation for helping mold the youth of the community.

Salvation Army Bell – Many partners participated in ringing the Salvation Army Bell many times during December. They donated their time to assist in raising extra money to help the less fortunate.
