STAR Dinner – As part of the Red Oak Foundation, STAR Dinner is a dinner to recognize the top 25 seniors in Red Oak ISD. Partners volunteered to decorate, serve and clean up for eight hours.

Ellis County Youth Expo – Partners volunteered to attend the Youth Expo in support of area youth. Also, they bid on livestock to help the youth of Ellis County 4-H.

Prize Patrol – Store Director Julian Howard is a member of the Red Oak ISD Education Foundation and with grant money they surprise teachers with a check to use for school supplies.

Back to School Fair – Partners volunteered for 98 hours to assist the Red Oak ISD handout snacks, bottles of water, and school supplies, while the parents waited in line with their kids to pick up free school supplies that were donated by the local community. This event helped families in the community with their school needs.

Store Tour – Students from Eastridge Elementary School toured the store. Partners volunteered for two hours showing them around the store.

School Tour – Partners hosted students from Wooden Elementary School on a tour of the store. They volunteered for four hours showing the students around the store.

5th Annual Red Oak Bridal Show – Bakery and deli partners volunteered for ten hours sampling wedding cakes and a variety of deli trays that can be ordered from the store.

Mr. and Mrs. Red Oak Pageant – Volunteers from the store assisted judging the contestants in the pageant. All proceeds from the event helped raised money for drug free Red Oak High.

Ellis County Youth Livestock Show/Auction – Store Director Julian Howard helped the youth of Ellis County by bidding on their livestock at the annual show/auction.

Red Oak ISD Special Olympic Track and Field Meet – Nine partners volunteered for forty-five hours assisting the children to their next race and cheered them on.

Career Fair – Partners volunteered to speak to students about a career in the grocery business. They helped prepare students for goals in different careers.

Father-Daughter Dance – Annual dance in Red Oak and partners volunteered to help by being servers and hostesses for the dance. They volunteered for twelve hours.

Trunk or Treat – Event was held in the parking lot of the store with many children attending.  Partners volunteered for thirty hours helping set up games.

Party on the Plaza – Brookshire’s partners were featured on Channel 8 Morning News with the Red Oak football team.

Red Oak Founders Day – Brookshire’s sponsored and partners volunteered for twenty-one hours.

Community Howl – In an effort to encourage community safety, unity and customer appreciation Brookshire’s had their first Community Howl event. Other area businesses were invited to participate in a Trunk or Treat candy giveaway. Partners fed the crowd grilled hot dogs along with chips and drinks.

Pep Rally – Annual pep rally held in the stores parking lot. Team member volunteered 12 hours with over 250 people participating in the annual event.

Red Oak Founders Day – Partners volunteered 50 hours for this annual weekend. They participated in the parade and sponsored a booth.

Ellis County Livestock Show – Brookshire partners bid on animals raised by local high school students.

Salsa Baron’s Ball – Proceeds from event were donated to the Palo Pinto Challenge. Partners helped with set up and clean up.

Ms. Red Oak Pageant – Pageant was held at Red Oak High School with 8 contestants. Store Management were judges for the pageant that was sponsored by Project Success Drug Education Program.

Festival of the Trees – Partners donated food for the concession stand, donated a decorated tree and helped an elementary school with their tree. All proceeds from the event went to help local charities.

Founders Day – The store donated water and other items that were given away at Red Oak’s main festival event.

Customer Appreciate Day – Partners hosted a Customer Appreciation Day event with something for all ages to enjoy. About 300 enjoyed the festivities. Money that was raised from event was donated to the Presbyterian Children’s Home Balloon Event.
