Path Back to School DriveOur Rice Rd. partners teamed up with PATH to help sort and pass out school supplies to area schools. They donated over 70 hours to PATH.

Day of Caring in Tyler - Many partners from our Tyler Brookshire’s assisted with the United Way of Tyler. They cleaned yards, painted, mowed and assisted different organizations in Tyler. They donated over 62 hours of their time.

World War II Heroes Flight Send Off – Many partners got up early to send 38 World War II Vets off to Washington.  Brookshire’s escorted the veterans to view the World War II Memorial along with several other points of interest. This endeavor was fully funded and coordinated by Brookshire’s, at no cost to the veterans. 

 

April 2010

Path Diaper Drive– During the month of April all Tyler Brookshire’s accepted donations of diapers for Path – People Attempting To Help. This organization helps low income families stretch their limited resources by providing emergency diapers when possible.

 

March 2010

Great American Potty Pick-Up – Brookshire’s participated during the month of March with Path’s toilet paper drive. Low income families are not allowed to purchase paper products with their food stamps and with limited resources this is a way for them to get toilet paper.

Several Rice Road store employees helped with directing and blocking traffic at the Light the Night fundraiser for leukemia & lymphoma at Bergfield Park.

For the Pink Heals tour the Rice Road store sold t-shirts to raise money for cancer awareness and research and displayed educational information about the event. Many employees also gave to help “turn Tyler pink” and corporate employees raised funds and wore pink t-shirts to work.

A large group of employees from the logistics, marketing and other departments at the Tyler Distribution Center participated in the Boys & Girls Clubs’ Kids Day event at Bergfeld Park. They served snacks, crafts and games for the kids from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

More than 60 employees from the corporate office put together “pantry packs” for the East Texas Food Bank and toured the facility.
