Tony Hester, a truck driver at Brookshire Grocery Company’s Monroe Distribution Center, just completed one million miles of safe driving for the company.
Employees and family welcomed Tony back from his milestone run on Friday, June 20, with a celebratory banner and cookout.
“Tony is a very skilled, very well-respected truck driver,” said Scott Reily, vice president of logistics for BGC. “We are very proud of Tony and commend him on this great achievement.”
Hester will receive a specially designed “million mile” ring at the company’s safe driving awards ceremony.
Hester is the seventh driver to receive this honor at BGC.
