Do dogs sweat? Sure they do, but it's not the same as with humans. Dogs have sweat glands on the pads of their feet, not on their skin and armpits. Their main method of getting rid of heat, though, is by panting, which is quite different from sweating.
Some dogs don't pant efficiently and are at increased risk for heat stroke. All dogs should be monitored for overheating, regardless of their breed—and regardless of the season of year.
