When July Fourth rolls around, everyone loves to celebrate. Children will get a kick out of making sparklers that anyone can enjoy—whether they crunch them or wave them! And your child will have the most fun of all, because these easy treats are also lots of fun to make.

If you have a beginner cook helping you, you can be in charge of melting the white chocolate and setting up the work station.

Patriotic Pretzel Sparklers

Ingredients:

Long fat pretzel sticks
White chocolate chips or candy melts
Patriotic sprinkles or red or blue sprinkles

Directions:
Melt candy melts in a microwave safe bowl, stirring every 30 seconds until completely melted. Dip ends of pretzel sticks about halfway up the stick. Sprinkle with sprinkles. Set on waxed paper and allow to chill several minutes until the chocolate sets.

*Note: it will be easier to dip the pretzels into melted white chocolate if your dipping container is narrow and tall (like a drinking glass or measuring cup). If you use a bowl, the pretzel won't get covered as easily.
