Brookshire’s Food & Pharmacy Store Director Joseph Stephens received the Roughneck Award on August 20 from the White Oak Independent School District for “going above and beyond in service to the district.”
Stephens was featured in the White Oak Independent newspaper and praised for both his personal and business contributions to the schools.“He always gives us phenomenal support,” said Mike Gilbert, superintendent of WOISD. “He is an outstanding individual who is very supportive of the school. Whatever we need, he’s there.”
Stephens and his wife have raised three girls and seen them through the district’s school system, the newspaper article stated. Stephens was presented the award at the August school board meeting in White Oak.
