Enchanted Land of Lights & Legends- Pine Bluff, Ark., Nov. 20

Highland Jazz & Blues Festival- Shreveport, La., Nov. 17

The Highland Area Partnership’s fourth annual festival will be held in Columbia Park. This free event draws spectators to the city to hear hours of fabulous jazz and blues music.

 

Celebrity Chef, Dotty Griffith-Tyler, Texas, Nov. 17

Brookshire's on Rice Road is excited to host Dotty Griffith, author, writer and consultant. Dotty Griffith brings a lifetime of food journalism and culinary experience to The Critical Edge, providing content for print, broadcast and online media. She is the former Dining Editor and Restaurant Critic of The Dallas Morning News, author of eight cookbooks, and an award-winning journalist as well as television and radio personality.


She is a nationally recognized culinary authority, judge for national recipe contests, cook offs and cookbook competitions. Dotty¹s most recent cookbooks are The Contemporary Cowboy Cookbook (Lone Star Books), Celebrating Barbecue (Simon and Schuster), and The Texas Holiday Cookbook (Gulf Publishing). She is a member of the Les Dames d¹ Escoffier,the International Association of Culinary Professionals (IACP) and an executive committee member of the IACP Cookbook Awards Committee.

 

Caldwell Elementary Fall Carnival- Tyler, Texas, Nov. 9

Brookshire’s is again donating to the Caldwell Elementary fall carnival, which benefits the PTA. From the funds raised at the carnival the PTA is able to sponsor events and activities for the children throughout the year.

 

Fall Golf Tournament- Bullard, Texas, Nov. 8-9

Brookshire’s is a sponsor of the Golden Tees annual fall golf tournament. Brookshire’s is a hole sponsor for the two-day event which is the largest event of the year for the group.

 

Celebrity Chef, Carlos Larranaga-Tyler, Texas, Nov. 3

Brookshire's on Rice Road is excited to host local chef, Carlos Larranaga.
Chef Carlos Larrañaga, owner and executive chef of Pico de Gallo Grill and Bar in Tyler, Texas, has an extensive background of over 35 years in traditional Mexican cuisine. He began his career at the Ritz Carlton Acapulco Hotel, in Acapulco, Mexico. His stints also include Stouffer¹s Hotel and La Fonda San Miguel Hotel, both in Austin. Pico de Gallo dishes reflect the wonderful rustic flavor, color and happiness of recipes rich in Mexican heritage.
