You've heard it before: we all need to reduce our sodium intake. But, what about flavor?
Nobody wants tasteless food! Here are some ideas to keep the flavor and lose the extra sodium.
- Leave the salt in the cabinet, not on the table. Out of sight, out of mind.
- Use alternatives seasonings to add zip: fresh herbs, garlic, ginger, pepper, lemon and lime all add zing.
- Gradually reduce the amount of salt in the food you eat. Over time, your taste buds will adjust.
