If your child is invited to a friend's to play, make sure you send a gluten-free snack. And so that you're not caught by surprise, make a snack box and keep it in the pantry.
Fill it full of the items that your family enjoys, so that your child's playmates won't have to figure out what to serve. There really are a lot of gluten-free options, but since non-gluten-free families aren't familiar with them, they'll appreciate your helpfulness.
