El Karubah Shrine Golf Tournament- Bossier City, La., Sept. 13 Brookshire’s is again an annual sponsor of the Shriner’s golf tournament. Proceeds benefit the Shriners hospital, which cares for children with orthopedic and burn needs.
Prosper Arts & Music Festival- Prosper, Texas, Sept. 13 Brookshire’s is pleased to help sponsor the 2nd annual Arts & Music Festival. This event will be fun for the whole family.
Go Texan Days- Hillsboro, Texas, Sept. 12-13 Each year the Brookshire’s in Hillsboro and Whitney participate in the annual Hill county Area Go Texan events. Activities including the annual livestock show provide college scholarships for deserving seniors.
CASA for Kids Golf Tournament- Tyler, Texas, Sept. 15 This annual golf tournament benefits children from all parts of east Texas. Brookshire’s is proud to be a sponsor again this year.
Chamber of Commerce Golf Tournament- Kilgore, Texas, Sept 16 Brookshire’s is a hole sponsor for this year’s Chamber golf tournament. Proceeds allow the Chamber to put profits back into tourism and business development.
Kiwanis Club Golf Tournament- Bullard, Texas, Sept. 19 Brookshire’s will help sponsor the Kiwanis Club Benefit Golf Tournament at Oakhurst Country Club. This tournament’s proceeds benefit the youth of the Bullard area.
Boys & Girls Club Day for Kids- Tyler, Texas, Sept. 20 Brookshire’s is proud to help sponsor this event for the Boys & Girls Club. This is a great opportunity for children and families to spend a day together in the park.
Hopkins County Stew Contest- Sulphur Springs, Texas, Sept. 20 Brookshire’s will once again sponsor a team in this year’s 38th annual Hopkins County Stew Contest. The contest draws an estimated 10,000 people to participate and enjoy this event.
Dancing with the Tyler Stars- Tyler, Texas, Sept. 20 Brookshire’s is proud to sponsor this 3rd annual event that benefits the Tyler AIDS Services. Included in this year’s line-up of “stars” is Mayor Barbara Bass.

Bois d’ Arc Bash- Commerce, Texas, Sept 26-28 Brookshire’s will help sponsor the 23rd annual Bois d’ Arc Bash, which kicks off with a concert in downtown Commerce. This will be a great family event.
Azle Sting Fling Festival- Azle, Texas, Sept. 26-27 This annual event, previously called “Jumpin’ Jack Jamboree,” provides family-friendly activities free of charge. Brookshire’s is proud to be a continued sponsor.
Bois D’Arc Bash- Commerce, Texas, Sept. 26 This year’s annual barbecue bash will take place on the square downtown. Proceeds from the events will benefit the commerce Leadership Institute.
Take a Soldier Fishing- Lake Fork, Texas, Sept. 27 Brookshire’s is pleased to be able to provide sponsorship to the Lindale B.A.S.S. Club for the Take a Soldier Fishing event. This event is a “thank you” to the men and women who are serving our country.
Tyler Great Strides- Tyler, Texas, Sept. 27 Brookshire’s annually sponsors Tyler Great Strides, which benefits the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. The CF Foundation is the primary sponsor of critical research that is making tremendous strides to cure and control this fatal, genetic disease.
Barn Sale- Camden, Ark., Sept. 27 Brookshire’s is proud to help the Business & Professional Women’s Organization with a $250 Brookshire’s gift card for their annual barn sale. All proceeds from the sale go toward scholarships for deserving Camden-area youth.
Run for the Prize- Hallsville, Texas, Sept. 27 Brookshire’s is pleased to be a sponsor of the 2008 Run for the Prize, which benefits the Tommy Miller Scholarship Fund.
Rings of Education- Sulphur Springs, Texas, Sept. 27 The Sulphur Bluff Scholarship Foundation will host their annual auction and banquet to raise funds for this year’s scholarships. Brookshire’s is pleased to provide a gift card for the auction.
Casino Party/Auction- Crowley, Texas, Sept. 27 Brookshire’s is again a sponsor of this annual fundraising event for the Crowley Lions Club. Proceeds will benefit the local charities of the Lions Club.
Bake Show- Mt. Pleasant, Texas, Sept. 29 Brookshire’s is again the co-sponsor of the Titus County Fair Bake Show. The show will feature baked goods made by kids and adults.
Red River Valley Fair- Paris, Texas, Sept. 30- Oct. 4 Brookshire’s will again participate as a sponsor of this year’s Red River Valley Fair. This is a five-day family event with entertainment, many events and a carnival.
