Three BGC pharmacy employees will be honored at the Texas Pharmacy Association Convention July 22-25 in San Antonio.
 
Charlotte Weller, a 13-year employee and BGC’s health services coordinator, will receive the Distinguished Service Award. TPA gives the award annually to an individual deemed to perform outstanding service to their profession or health-care community.
 
Mike Ellis, an eight-year employee and pharmacy manager at Brookshire’s in Anna, Texas, will receive the Bowl of Hygeia Award. The distinguished award is presented for going beyond standard job duties by giving exceptional service in the community.
 
Sheri Steffens, a certified pharmacy technician at Brookshire’s in Anna, Texas, since 2008, will receive the Outstanding Pharmacy Technician Award. Steffens receives the award for demonstrating excellence as a pharmacy technician.  

"Only 12 awards are presented, and leaders from our company are receiving three of these”, said Jim Cousineau, vice president - pharmacy. “This is truly an honor for our employees and our company”.
