Pass the SaltDid you know that there are different types of salt? Using the right kind of salt can make a difference in your finished product. Below we’ve given you some tips on when to use each kind of salt.

 

Ultra-fine salt provides a light, even coverage. It’s great on hard-to-sprinkle foods, such as popcorn.

 

Fine-grain salt is useful for all-purpose cooking. You can use this one in recipes.

 

Medium- to coarse-grain salt adds sparkle and crunch to roasted meats and fish.

 

Extra-coarse salt is best for seasoning pasta water or creating beds for oysters on the half shell.
