New Store Groundbreaking Held Officials participate in ceremony at Canton.

 

 

OFFICIALS HOLD GROUNDBREAKING AT NEW CANTON SITE

A state representative and a county judge were among the officials helping break ground on Friday, June 20, at the future site of a new Brookshire's store in Canton, Texas.

The ceremony took place on the nine-acre tract of land located at 880 East State Highway 243. It will be home to a 36,000-square-foot store planned to open in late 2008 or early 2009.

The store will replace the existing store and will offer the services of a pharmacy with dual drive-through lanes and a self-service fuel center, among other features.

"We thank this community for making Brookshire's part of its family for more than 20 years," said President and Chief Executive Officer Rick Rayford. "And we look forward to giving Brookshire's brand of service in an exciting new store."
