Just because you have diabetes doesn't mean you have to cut out all of your fun treats. It's all about balance! Take alcohol, for instance. If you enjoy a frosty drink now and then, it needn't affect your diabetic meal plan. Talk with your nutritionist or doctor for details, because the specifics will depend on your individual situation.

 

Here's a great diabetic-friendly recipe for margaritas: mix lemon Crystal Light with 1 ounce of tequila and fresh lime juice. Dip the rim of your glass in artificial sweetener.
