For Your Family

Macaroni Mania!

Macaroni Mania! Help your kids make a cool picture frame from dried pasta pieces.

Start with a fun picture of your child. Cut a piece of poster board out that will allow at least a 1-inch frame edge on all sides and has a whole in the middle for the picture to show through.

Have your child choose what pastas they want to use. There are so many shapes available: elbow macaroni, tortellini, angel hair, rotini, and the list goes on. Let your child dye the pasta pieces like Easter eggs (see instructions below). When they are dry, let your child glue each piece on the poster board to decorate it.

Glue a magnetic strip on the back of the frame when it’s dry and hang it on the fridge!

Dying instructions: Drop pasta pieces into a zip-top plastic bag and add a few drops of food coloring. Zip the bag closed and coat the pasta with color!
