As summer transitions to autumn, you're probably bringing some of your outdoor plants inside. Sometimes it's just that change that causes problems, and other times, the problems just suddenly come on the scene.
Do a little detective work to see if you can figure out a way to help your houseplants get healthier and stay pretty longer!
1. Leaves, buds or flowers fall from plant. The plant could be over watered or have poor drainage, or the soil could be very dry or it is not receiving enough light. There is also a possibility that plant is in later stages of bacterial infection.
2. Leaves or flowers roll up or curl. The plant has likely received either a hot or cold draft of air or it has aphids.
3. Leaves are pale green or yellow. The plant may be getting too little or too much light. The room temperature could be too high or the plant may need fertilizer.
4. Roots appear on the soil surface. The roots may be waterlogged or completely dry in the lower part of the container. You probably need to repot the plant; make sure to check the roots below the soil surface.
As you can see, plant problems aren't an exact science. Any given symptom could turn out to be one of several situations!
