Get Your Heart Pumping!
A healthy heart is a happy heart.

February is Heart Health Month and one of the best things you can do for your heart is to exercise regularly. Doing what? Well, do anything that will boost your heart rate and have you breathing harder.
There are so many fun activities that accomplish this—biking, walking, dancing, jumping rope, swimming….you name it!
Be sure that your heart's in good enough shape to handle the extra exertion, so visit your doctor first and explain about your plans to get healthier. Once you have a green light from your doctor, get started with your favorite activity—or try several!
Involve friends and family in your fitness plan. They'll enjoy spending time with you, and they'll learn from your good example that taking care of your body is a good thing.
If you're just getting started, make your goals small and reachable. Walk around the block, not five miles, and increase your goals as your conditioning improves. If you attempt too much in the beginning, it's easy to get frustrated—and quit.
Being more active is something where everyone wins. Healthy hearts, happy attitudes, increased energy, weight loss…it's all good!
