Thes, who joined the company in 1996, was welcomed with a large celebratory banner at the main entrance to the distribution center as well as an escort onto the property by the Smith County Sheriff’s Department. He was greeted by a crowd of family, friends and co-workers that celebrated his milestone run at a hamburger cookout after his arrival.
“We’re very proud of Thes for his accomplishment,” said Greg Nordyke, vice president of logistics. “Safety means a great deal to BGC and Thes is the latest example of the pride our partners have in their work and their company.”

TYLER, TEXAS--Thes Freeney became the sixth Brookshire Grocery Co. truck driver to reach the prestigious million-mile driving milestone Monday, Nov. 20, as he returned to the company’s Tyler distribution center.
