Dirt work began at the site in early February, and officials estimate the 37,000 square-foot store will be complete by early fall.
The store will contain traditional grocery, market, delicatessen, bakery and produce departments, as well as a host of specialty departments such as a pharmacy, fuel station and floral department.
Many exciting features being planned for the store include two pharmacy drive-through lanes for convenience, electronic signage and a fuel center. The state-of-the-art store will also include environmentally friendly features such as skylights in the store to conserve energy.
A wide variety of organic foods and products will be available throughout the store to meet the needs of the ever-growing health conscious population. The delicatessen will offer a wide assortment of prepared foods, making meal times more convenient for customers.
The new Brookshire’s store will display a décor package customized specifically for Farmersville. Pictures and memorabilia from Farmersville’s community history will adorn the store’s walls.

FARMERSVILLE, TEXAS--Brookshire Grocery Co. held a groundbreaking ceremony Feb. 23 on the future site of the new Brookshire’s Food Store located at 1705 W. Audie Murphy Parkway in Farmersville.
