Grand Opening Begins in FarmersvilleEmployees in Farmersville, Texas, served customers for the first time, Wednesday, Nov. 7, as the store began its grand opening. The store held a ribbon cutting this morning with numerous local officials and Brookshire Grocery Co. leaders in attendance.

The 36,900-square-foot store boasts a fuel center and a pharmacy with a drive-through window. Other unique features include natural sky lighting throughout and steel interior walls that are easily cleaned, require no paint and allow for easier remodeling. The décor pays tribute to the area’s farming heritage, as well as the railroads and war hero/film star Audie Murphy, a past resident of Farmersville.

“The people here, including our employees, are very appreciative of having this store, and we thank everyone who had a part in getting this store open,” said Store Director Mike Cook. "Now we are eager to get acquainted with everyone and familiarize shoppers with our way of doing business.”
