Easter is such a fun holiday: bright, cheerful colors, fun, bouncy bunnies, little baby chicks, eggs to hide and pretty baskets to make. When you think of Easter baskets, what comes to mind? Woven straw, perhaps, or lots of that stringy artificial grass?
Here's a recipe for an edible Easter basket, complete with green grass. This grass is made from coconut, though, so you can eat it along with everything else. And this basket is a cold, sweet one: it's made from ice cream!!
Have a happy, chilly Easter!
Ingredients:
- Softened Vanilla, Lemon, or Coconut Ice Cream
- Vanilla Cookie Crumbs
- Green Tinted Coconut
- Jelly Beans
Directions:
Fill a 9 ounce plastic cup about 3/4 of the way full with the softened ice cream. Top with about 1/4 inch of vanilla cookie crumbs. Top with green tinted coconut "grass" and jelly beans for an edible Easter basket!
