Fancy Hor d'oeuvres always look great at a party, but who has time to make them? Here’s an easy trick for presenting a fancy fare that doesn’t take all day to make.
Spread cream cheese on a flour tortilla. Spoon on some salsa and roll it up with the yummy stuff on the inside. Use a pizza cutter to slice each roll into 1/4-inch-thick bites. Use a fancy toothpick to hold it all together and arrange on a serving platter.
That’s the plain and simple version. You can make them as simple or fancy as you want, but no one will know the difference!
Give these variations a try.
Combine cream cheese, finely chopped black olive and green onion and spread the mixture on the tortilla.
Substitute refried beans for cream cheese in the original recipe. Top the cream cheese with a slice of deli-style lunchmeat and deli-sliced cheese.
