Two Brookshire Grocery Co. truck drivers and a technician received top awards in the East Texas Regional Truck Driving Championship this past weekend and qualified to advance to the state meet this summer.

In the truck drivers events, Van Trimble took first place in the sleeper class, and Nathan Catlin won second place in the 4-axle class. David Jackson won second place in the technician's class.

The regional meet was held May 2 at BGC's SouthWest Foods, with more than 50 drivers from 10 companies participating. The Texas state truck driving championship will be held June 12-13 at College Station.
