Brookshire’s Haiti Disaster Relief Program

Brookshire’s Haiti Disaster Relief Program Our stores initiated a scan coupon donation program on January 16 to benefit earthquake victims of Haiti through American Red Cross efforts, and we have already raised more than $20,000.

In addition, Brookshire Grocery Co. has agreed to match the first $10,000 donated by customers and employees in our stores.

Customers can still purchase a $1 or $5 coupon when they check out, and all donations will go to the Red Cross to help people affected by the catastrophe that struck on January 12.

The Red Cross has estimated that more than a million people could be affected by the disaster.

“We’ve conducted similar disaster relief efforts in the past, such as hurricane relief programs,” said President and CEO Rick Rayford. “It gives our employees and customers a chance to easily contribute and help these victims.”

BGC stores will run the program for several weeks.
