Brookshire’s Donates to United Way
Brookshire’s helps kick off United Way campaign.

TYLER, TEXAS--Brookshire Grocery Company along with Newman’s Own Organics Fresh Produce presented the United Way of Tyler/Smith County a check for $2,500 on Sept. 7 at the United Way Kick-Off breakfast being held at the Glass Recreation Center in Tyler.
Paul Newman and the Newman’s Own Foundation donate all profits and royalties after taxes for educational and charitable purposes. Paul Newman and the Newman’s Own Foundation have given over $200 million to thousands of charities worldwide since l982.
BGC annually donates nearly $175,000 in corporate and employee donations to the United Way of Tyler/Smith County.
“Brookshire Grocery Co. is proud to be able to partner with Newman’s Own to present this check to the United Way,” said Pete Leung, vice-president of perishable operations. “Brookshire employees donate their time and money each week in many different ways to contribute to the success of this worthwhile organization.”
United Way of Tyler/Smith County has been serving residents of Smith County for more than 60 years with the goal of seeking solutions to improve the quality of life for all.
