BGC Receives Retailer of the Year Honor Brookshire Grocery Co. recently named Food Retailer of the Year.

 

 

BGC was selected from among some 200 major retail operators in Texas, according to TRA officials, and was awarded the honor because of exemplary leadership in support of the retail industry in the State of Texas.

“Brookshire Grocery Co. exemplifies the kind of company-wide involvement that makes a critical difference in the legislative and regulatory issues that influence our industry on a daily basis,” said Joe Williams, vice president-regulatory affairs for TRA.

Marvin S. Massey, Jr., Brookshire’s chief executive officer, secretary, accepted the award at the association’s annual awards program in Houston. “We are honored to be presented with this award,” Marvin said. “It is the result of many behind-the-scene efforts by a lot of people in our organization who work tirelessly to ensure our proper compliance in many areas.”
