A large crowd of local officials and guests turned out Tuesday, February 23, for a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the newly remodeled Brookshire’s Food and Pharmacy store on Wesley Street in Greenville, Texas. The grand reopening officially began Wednesday, February 24.
A major remodel to the 51,235-square-foot store started in August, and crews have completed the work that has added pharmacy space and a drive-through window, as well as a total store reset for improved traffic flow.
The store received fresh new paint, decor and signage throughout the interior. The remodel has given the building a new store front design and a “fresh” atmosphere near the entrance with relocated floral, produce and bakery departments.
Exciting new products await shoppers in the bakery with Yums Gourmet Cupcakes, a variety of specialty cakes, dipped cheesecakes and dipped apples, as well as new artisan breads. Produce features all new cases allowing for a greater variety of fruits and vegetables, including additional organic and natural produce. The floral department has been expanded with specialty gift items, in addition to flower and plant varieties.
The deli features new sandwich and salad bars with a section of fresh entrees, as well as cold salads such as chicken, tuna and others. The department now offers Boar’s Head fine deli meats and cheeses. The market has increased its fish and seafood lines and offers a new service meat program that includes fresh veal and lamb. It also carries the popular Brookshire’s Best Angus Beef, among other brands.
The store has even received a fleet of new shopping carts, a re-striped parking lot, renovated restrooms, and new lighting with an automated control system that provides better illumination with greater energy efficiency.
Store hours are 6 a.m. to 11 p.m., seven days a week.
